I found some of those little cute surveys that used to go around on the early social media days. I miss doing them.
They were a fun way to pass the time and I liked reading friends' answers. :)
Obviously, I had to do one. This one is so goofy... Why do they use the word "side" (NTS format this correctly and put it in a scrolling txtbox when ur not lazy and tired)

IRL, it was this kid named Travis who I thought was cute. I had no other reason to like him. He's a brony now What do you first notice about the opposite sex [looks alone]?: That depends on the person entirely because everyone is attractive in different ways. I generally look at style. But if they can get rid of certain information (the memory of learning it?), I'd have a document ready. TV show you wish they would re-air again: Idc about that cause we have easy access now but to update the question Id love some remakes of things. Drink: Matcha lattes, lattes in general, coffee in general, celsius, this one really good blue rasp sparkling energy drink at Caribou... god, any caffeine I guess. Water obviously. I also love coke straight from the fountain but its a trigger for me. Actor: I dont really have a favorite actor but I < 3 Ryan Gosling as a person so lets say him Actress: Also no favorite actress Weekend Activity: I hate to say it but literally just sleeping. Day of the week: Saturday Month: Probably November and April Book: Escape from Freedom, A Tale for the Time Being if it didnt randomly go magical-realism in the last 2 or 3 chapters. But I dont read much. Holiday: Christmas, Halloween. Number: 11 or 8 Cookie: Chocolate chip, snickerdoodle, gingerbread Phrase you overuse: Idk about a phrase but lately I've been adding "I fear" onto the end of every sentence compulsively Toothpaste: The purple Crest one with creepy microplastics Ice Cream: 1 scoop of double chocolate chunk and 1 scoop of chocolate oreo on a sugar cone, or Ben and Jerry's Half Baked. Candy Bar/Candy: Crunch, Mr. Goodbar, Sour Patch Kids, those rainbow airhead strips, those movie theater choc covered cookie dough bites, anything cherry or green apple flavored I can suck on like a ringpop........... ALMOND JOY ...... my love Teacher: This one English teacher from middle school that noticed I was mentally ill and gave me some leeway on anything related to public speaking, this one English teacher from highschool that noticed I was mentally ill and spoke to me one on one about depression and anxiety (her advice was terrible and unhelpful but its the fact that she noticed and cared). This one Art History professor who had so much unbridled passion for his career. He was a huge wife guy and gave me so much leeway and sympathy when my mom passed away. He was enraged to hear my other professor barely moved the deadline for my paper and asked his name. I said I didnt want to get anyone in trouble and he said not to worry about it. Idk what he did but I got a call from my English prof telling me personally he's sorry for my loss and extended several deadlines. It was really awkward and I didnt like it but the fact that my prof cared so much and got me extensions meant something to me. This American History professor, Omg. Probably my favorite one. He cried during his own lecture about a slave revolt. I thought that was so sweet. He actually frequently got emotional while lecturing about times of great triumph or sorrow in history. His lectures were by far the most thoughtful of any class I have attended. He updated them every semester based on student feedback, they were structured like we were being told a story but with little breaks to talk about historical context and everything was accompanied by pictures. Every lecture he made sure to include some kind of written document (Be it a letter or a legal document or a transcribed speech) of the time to bring it to life. Each lecture was based on a person. He would tell the story of a time in America centered through the lense of the person he chose to focus on. He went out of his way to make sure there was a good variety to whose stories he shared. Historical relevance was obviously prioritized but he included women and minorities that made important contributions in America but didnt get the fame. While waiting for class to start, he played music from that specific era in US history. I spoke to him for a long time once where he made a genuine effort to quell my anxieties about not knowing what field to go into, told me to do what I love not what makes me money, and tried to convince me to become a History major. He said my writing assignments were thorough, well-written and insightful and that he notices when certain things spark emotion in me during his lectures. Him and the Art History guy make me so happy. I dont think I was built to have the kind of passion they hold in their heart for their respective fields, but theyre inspiring nonetheless. Its also just really refreshing when you can tell a person has found their genuine calling and are just completely winning in life because they have found The Thing. The Thing that genuinely fills you with energy to get up every morning and makes all the bad shit worth it and the negativity a waste of time. Restaurant: Umaido, Ari KBBQ, Poetree, Taki, I'm def missing like 600 others. Radio Station: 91.1 Atlanta B) Type of music: Oh god, everything. Goth, Punk, Breakcore, dnb, Jungle, Shoegaze, Electronic, 80s new wave, Alt rock, Hip-hop, jazz, the list goes on. I'm def one of those people that listens to a wide range of stuff but doesnt get deep into any one thing until something REALLY hits that chord and then Im obsessed. Shampoo/Conditioner: I believe 90% of them are the same until they get to be about 15 dollars. I like the Nexxus protein stuff. Underwear lol Pen/Pencil: Pen Plumber/Trashman: Now the title makes sense? Trashman. Im just so weird about wet things. Theres at least less of that w/ trashman. Ear/Eye: Ear Rich and unhappy/Poor and happy: Poor and happy, but I think happiness involves money because enriching experiences like travelling or starting a business or having kids or higher education or living in a community setting require money. Poor and happy requires some mastery of the self and finding happiness in really small things. I dont think Ill ever reach such a status due to mental illness Tall/Short: Tall but Id prefer like avg The "QUESTIONS THAT DON'T MATTER, BUT I'M STILL ASKING" Side Do you sleep with a stuff animal?: Always Last time you showered: Today If you were a crayon, what color would you be?: Black or Purple Do you like this survey?: Yea One pillow or two, cotton or feather?: One pillow under head one in arms, cotton First initial of the person you hate the most: A (if any A's happen to read this its not you) How long are you in the shower?: anywhere from 15 mins to an hour, on the real bad days How do you eat a Reese's Peanut Buttercup?: I bite down? Wtf. idk i eat it in like 3 bites Feelings on abortion: Deeply Pro-choice. Is Tupac alive?: No Thoughts on Britney Spears: Tragic figure, sweet lady, love her songs What does your screen name mean?: It means a lot actually lol. First off I just like the sound/feel of it, it makes me think of a sentient robot or alien trying to fool people by comically announcing itself as human. It also feels like a jab at rampant AI and bots online, like saying "Hey Im actually literally a real person". Though I dont think this actually works, its a reminder that there is a human person behind the account. It feels raw, like it might cut through the screen as a reminder to be kind because there are real people your words are reaching. And finally, its because I feel like the previously mentioned alien/robot announcing itself as human. Aliens are foreign and obviously different from humans. Aliens are tied to the descriptor of weird. Theyre just weird and cant be people. Robots who gain sentience are thinking machines (likely overthinking) and experience emotions intellectually. They also cant pose as humans (robots cant.. not yet) and are monotonous. Theres a reason people say "I feel like a robot/zombie" when describing the apathy involved in depression. Sometimes you feel like youre playing human Right, Left, or Ambidextrous?: Right What is on your mouse pad?: Dont have one lol.... What is under your bed?: A bunch of shoes in a loose drawer How many licks does it take to get to the center of a Tootsie Pop? one rough lick from my 50 square acre tongue

Being in Death and Dying has made me consider my own death in a way I otherwise wouldnt have. I do think about the possibility of death, but I now know enough about the different means of dealing with a body post-death to be able to say: I dont care what happens to my body! It's pretty much gross and disgusting no matter what. Embalming, donating to science, regular old decay.. Its all really undignified and grotesque. There's no way around the morbidity of death. Cremation is also very gross, it just happens quicker and only one person sees your body during the process. However, the emissions are really bad for the environment. Direct cremation is, however, the cheapest option. Let it be in writing that I dont care what my loved ones decide to do with my body after I die as long as 2 things are true: There is no open-casket funeral, and nobody spends a ridiculous amount of money on something dumb like a casket. If you absolutely MUST honor me with something expensive and cool, spend it on a really cool headstone. Put me a stone crow on there or something. Or just be smart and dont buy anything super extra. If it makes anyone feel better, if you have to use stuff thats really creepy and old, thats fine because I like goth stuff and thats just cool to me. Hell, get a $25 headstone from Halloween Express and put it out there. Anyway, consider donating my body to science. I really feel as though thats the best option because it makes me feel like I have been of use by helping someone develop their medical expertise, or furthering scientific research.
